Bitches

The song below is “I’d Rather Die” by the Tramp Stamps. Regardless of what you think of them, and the controversy currently surrounding the group; the song is catchy as hell. And it’s a message GenZ girls desperately need: do you boo. Own your sexuality; don’t act any given way simply to get the approval of men/boys. A TikTok of the band was posted last week in a reddit group I frequent, FDS; also indisputably tendentious. Anyone familiar with me IRL knows I’m undaunted by chaos/controversy and can be counted on to have a forceful opinion about most things.

I never would have found the community at FDS if I hadn’t dated the covert narcissist freak. And I’d never have met him if my close friend hadn’t engaged in a horrifically revolting act. She confided in me, one hungover morning, in terrible shape; hollow, shamed, trembling. Her words, “Clearly I need someone to take care of me”. I had the solution-I was going to go online and find her a boyfriend. It didn’t quite work out that way.

Women need to know that they not only shouldn’t need a man for anything; it’s ok not to want one either. An amazing guy is worth waiting for. And I can count the ones I’ve known on two hands. Most men suck. Yep, I’m saying it. Between violent porn on demand/PUA/TRP/MGTOW crap and the inane sense of entitlement the social media generation has been raised on; it’s harder and harder to find good men under 35. The tales my 20s friends tell are stupefying. We need more music like this. We need more women stomping around screaming; Courtney Love style. After all, we are the great great granddaughters of the witches you didn’t manage to burn.
